“A Day Late...” originally consisted of just duo Benwa McNeil and Boyd Bonett. The boys started as a side project which turned heads from its’ early days when touring the Gold Coast in September 2003 playing venues under the name of “Benwa“.

Originally formed as a recording/studio project, A Day Late gained some interest from producer Stuart stuart (The Veronica's) and recorded a 5 track Ep.

Since then A Day Late has performed songs In Hawaii, Fiji, Canada, and all over Sydney extensively promoting their music in mostly unconventional ways i.e duo's, minor appearances in pubs, parties etc. During this time A Day Late gained members and lost a few, the current line up is: Benwa-Guitar,Vox, Boyd Bonett-Bass, Richie Cunningham-Guitar, and Chris Thompson-Drums.

Recently, A Day Late won ABC radio 702am's AcousticA by the lake competition, playing in Sydney's Bicentennial park, alongside such acts as Bobby Flynn (Aust. Idol), Jack Jones (ex Southern sons), and Abby Dobson (ex. Leonardos Bride).
