SUPERfreak are from Yorkshire and formed in 2004.
They credit influences as diverse as Prince, Stevie Wonder,
N*E*R*D*, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Led Zeppelin.
They have built an impressive, tight live show and established
a loyal fanbase from playing around the counrty. Their biggest
gig so far was the Pulse of West Yorkshire Party in the Park
where they played to a 25,000 strong crowd. They have also
played for Ms. Dynamite in the Pepsi Urban Music competition.
They are constantly writing new material, honing their sound to
what it has become today. Seamlessly combining Pop, Rock,
Hip Hop and Soul with great melodies and driving grooves
they are in the process of recording a new album.
The sound of SUPERfreak is convincing and oozing with class -
polished but bustling with verve, commercial yet never even
remotely disposable. The songs are equally fit for busting a
move on the dancefloor or relaxing to at home.
Their forthcoming album is destined to cross SUPERfreak
over to the wider attention they fully deserve.
